Goal
The primary goal of the winter school is to bring together scientists from Greece and from abroad, with psysics students that specialize, or wish to specialize in Astrophysics.

The school will provide the participants with valuable experience and more in depth perspective in key areas of modern astrophysics. It is expected that the annual organization of the Astrophysics Winter School, will cover a wide spectrum of relevant topics over an expected 5 year period.

There will be four morning lectures by four different professors/ researchers. These will be followed by four afternoon workshops, where students, divided in small groups will work on specific projects of their chioce. The last day of the school, students will present their projects in the form of a "mini-conference", followed by discussion and evaluation by the professors. The lectures as well as the student presentations will be made available online after the end of the winter school.
